Eastern Virginia Rowing Regatta

In the 2007 General Assembly Session, Sal was approached by a constituent to introduce a bill that would allow a boathouse to be built at First Landing State Park for Virginia Beach rowing teams. The crews do not currently have a permanent place to practice or store equipment. With the successful passage of this bill, the Eastern Virginia Scholastic Rowing Association (EVSRA) hopes to expand the sport to other high schools in Virginia Beach.

Sal was invited to the finals regatta on April 28 to see over 600 students compete from over 15 schools in Hampton Roads and the surrounding area.
